Senator Baldwin moved to amend the bill on page two, after the enacting clause, by inserting a new section, designated section twelve-a, to read as follows:

CHAPTER 9. HUMAN SERVICES.

ARTICLE 5. MISCELLANEOUS PROVISIONS.

§9-5-12a. Coverage for drug-free mother/baby programs.

The Department of Health and Human Resources shall extend Medicaid coverage to Medicaid recipients who are pregnant women and participate in drug-free mother/baby programs. The coverage shall include receiving counseling from social workers and drug testing through an office that provides obstetrical or gynecological services. The services from drug-free mother/baby programs shall be reimbursed under the Medicaid program to the provider.
